What Does This Mean?

We had a little rainstorm today and I saw a rainbow out the window. Banner started saying "double rainbow, double rainbow"! I thought she was just making fun of the Double Rainbow youtube video, but it actually was a double rainbow. Imagine that.

My Cake Decorating Skills

I've been watching alot of cake decorating shows on t.v. lately ,and got the urge to bake a cake today.
This is the fondant being kneaded. The fondant was relatively easy. I just found the recipe on the Wilton cake site. I used the Marshmallow Rolled Fondant because it had less ingredients.


This is the fondant after being colored.


I was watching 'Amazing Wedding Cakes',and they had 'marbled' the fondant so I decided to try it. I think it turned out pretty well.. Here's a star with the marbled fondant.


Here is the finished product. For my first 'real' cake it turned out ok I guess.

Girls' State

I got back from Girls' State on Saturday. It was a good experience, but I was glad to come home. I had two great roommates, and one crazy one. She yelled at me a few times, and then the last day said that I was her favorite person there. She was odd. Well, anyway, I met alot of really great girls. My found out that my camera was broken after I got down there so I didn't get any pictures during the week, but my mom took pictures at the graduation. Here are just a few. The girl with the tissue up her nose got a bloody nose by the way. Haha.

Summer Job!

So, I got a job at the pool this summer. I will be lifeguarding. I'm so excited! It pays pretty good for a high schoolers job in Emery County. I'll have enough money to travel if I want to this summer, but I also will have to ask for time off, and I'm not sure how much I'll be able to take off. Hopefully I'll be able to go to SLC, and also Cedar for a trip. That is if my parents will let me drive up by myself considering my past experiences with the law. Well, anyway life in Orangeville is pretty much the same. Banner and I go down to Liz and Dennis' on Sunday's, and I go most of the other days for lunch. I'm so excited that we only have two more weeks of school! I'm getting really excited for summer, especially since last year I was basically on house arrest for most of it. This year will most definitely be better than last year. I hope all of you are doing well and having fun looking forward to summer like me! Here are some pictures I took around our yard. Ceremonial Dying of Eggs

We watched conference this morning and then decided to get busy on dying the eggs. We invited Liz and Dennis up to join in the festivities. These are the products of our labor, and the dying process.




















Altogether, it was a successful dying of eggs.
